Analyses

Borowski Engineering is capable of performing many types of analysis from Linear Static and Dynamic Analyses to Multi-Physical Assessments (thermal fluids) and Event Simulation.  Each of these analyses begins in a similar fashion.

It starts with a sketch or a photograph

Which is turned into a CAD model

           Either                        2D

                                                                            or                           3D

The model is then descretized using any variety of methods.

And then any series of analyses may be performed:

Linear static analysis is the basis for many more complicated analyses and is acceptable for situations in which loads do not result in stresses beyond the elastic region of the material.

Motion and impact are two purposes for conducting an event simulation.  Unknown impact forces, motion after impact, inertial load transfer, and wall interaction may also be determined through this analytical technique.

Dynamic Analysis is know by many names and each contains subtle differences in required inputs as well as analytical basis. Either transient or steady state, this analysis can be used to determined temperature of a structure during equipment start-up or during continuous operations.

Non-linear Analysis is required under a few circumstances:  Stresses approach or exceed the yield strength of the material.  Deflections become large relative to the size of the modeled structure.  The structure is expected to buckle.

      wFluids

Steady and Unsteady Flow of viscous fluids around and/or through objects.  It is also possible to simulate fans and other rotating equipment through revolving frames.
